Information updated Friday, August 07, 2009

Designed especially for fourth graders studying Idaho history, The Prospector Club can help inspire students to actively participate in the study of state history. Teachers are invited to download activity packets that include information sheets, activities, and games to help supplement their Idaho history curriculum. Each month (October through May) we'll post an additional Prospector Club newsletter devoted to a new Idaho History Topic. Students across the state can submit projects, articles, and art for publication in the newsletter. The Prospector Club is a great way to keep your class connected to Idaho History all year long.

Each issue of the Prospector Club newsletter can easily be downloaded in PDF format. Every other month the newsletter tackles a new subject unique to Idaho's history. You'll find several short articles, an activities page, suggested classroom projects that participating members can submit for publications, a short lesson plan, and a resource list. Teachers are encouraged to download the entire issue and then copy the parts of the newsletter they think appropriate for their class.
