Lower Gibbonsville Oral History Project

Elsie Adkins conducted these interviews in 1980 as part of a cultural resource survey for the Forest Service and the Idaho State Historical Society. These interviews provide information about Lower Gibbonsville in Lemhi County, covering the period from 1900-1940, a time of declining population, though in the 1890s the town was a center of mining activities.
