Lee Street Oral History Project In 1980 and 1981, Mateo Osa interviewed nine African Americans about their experiences living in Boise. The bulk of the interviews dealt with the 1930s to the 1950s and provides information about African Americans and other minorities in the area, their day to day life, their place in the community, the influence of World War II, as well as local race discrimination with regard to housing and jobs.
