Czechoslovakian Culture in the Buhl-Castleford Area Oral History Project In 1983, this project was conducted with first and second generation Czechoslovakian immigrants who settled in the Buhl-Castleford area. These interviews were conducted by Jim Gentry and Kathy Vitek Nutting for the Idaho State Historical Society and the College of Southern Idaho. Interview topics included: cultural activities, such as music making, dancing, and social gatherings, ethnic food, memories of the old country and early days of immigration, language issues, prohibition, and the impact of Hitler's rise to power on communication with relatives in Europe.
