Civilian Conservation Corps
The Civilian Conservation Corps was an important presence in Idaho from 1933 to 1942, training and employing about 100,000 young men in camps throughout the state, and completing projects primarily in rural and forested areas. We have a variety of materials on the CCC spanning all of the Archives and Library holdings, including, a comprehensive manuscript collection, oral history interviews, photographs, and moving images.
- MS683 is our Civilian Conservation Corps manuscript collection. The breadth of this collection shows that the CCC had a significant and lasting effect on Idaho. This collection contains a variety of materials related to the CCC experience, including correspondence, memoirs, camp newsletters and yearbooks, and photographs. MS683 consists of 6 cubic feet of material and 7 oversized photographs.
